As the Christmas season is upon us, the end of 2024 is quickly approaching, and some have inquired about year-end gifts and how to ensure they will properly be credited as part of this year’s total giving. We praise God for his merciful provision and for the faithful commitment of our congregation to financially support his work here at Damascus Community Church! Below are several ways you can give to the ministries of DCC: • Give Online: When you give through our safe and secure DCC Giving Portal at our website, you can ensure your gift will be received and properly credited. • Text-to-Give: Simply text the gift amount (ex: $50) to 877-525-2212, and you’ll be able to give safely and securely in a matter of seconds. • Give In Person: You can give in person at the church by placing your gift in one of the four offering boxes located in the church foyer, or in the church office. • Mail it: This is still an option, but please be sure it is postmarked 12/31 or before to receive credit toward this year’s giving statement. • QCD: Speak with your financial advisor about giving a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an investment account. Below we have provided additional information that will be helpful to ensure any potential year end gifts you may be prayerfully considering will be officially credited in this calendar year. Important Notice: January 1, 2025 is a Wednesday. To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, please do not file your 2024 income tax return until you have received a documented statement of your contributions from the church. Without it, some contributions may not be considered tax-deductible. Contribution statements will be sent via email by January 31, 2025, so please be sure the church office has an accurate email address on file for you. If hand delivering your offering during the last week of December, please bring to the church office. We are so thankful for the incredible generosity of our congregation! Thank you for your continued financial support of the ministries of Damascus Community Church. We pray God blesses you and your loved ones in a special way this Christmas season and in the new year ahead! |
